How To Hide Apps On iPhone?

1. Remove It From the Home Screen

We’ll jump right to the first method since it is undoubtedly the simplest way to remove an app from your Home Screen. The steps you must take are as follows:

  • Press and hold the app you want to hide for a while to open up a context menu.
  • Choose Remove App from List.
  • A remove option will appear.

As an alternative, you can hold down the button until all of the apps on your Home Screen start to shake, then tap the minus (-) sign and select Remove from the Home Screen. You can move your app to the App Library using one of these rather simple methods.

You only need to perform a search in your App Library to find the apps you’ve hidden. Then, to reveal them, press and drag them back to your Home Screen.

2. Hide an App by Creating a Folder

While this option is not as easy to recognize in your iPhone as the previous method, it is still pretty visible and has shown to be very useful. Therefore, carefully follow the following steps for hiding an app by making a folder:

  • On the Home Screen, hold down a long press until the apps begin to move. You are now into Edit mode, as shown by this.
  • Drag an app now to create a new folder or place it on top of another app to create an existing folder.
  • After your app has been placed in the appropriate folder, drag it to the right to move it to the folder’s second page.
  • If you want to take it a step further, you can create up to 12 pages in a folder as long as each page has an app, which gives you 11 pages to hide your app in.

Since only the first page of a folder is visible on your Home Screen, no one will know the app is present when glancing at your phone. Additionally, placing apps in a folder will minimize clutter, so you’ll hit two birds with one stone.

3. Hide an Entire Home Screen Page

Your best option, if you want to simultaneously hide several apps, is to use this method. You may hide an entire Home Screen page from view, something, not many people have heard of. Here’s how you can use this method to hide your apps:

  • Create a separate Home Screen page for each app you want to hide. You only need to press and drag your app to the right till a blank Home Screen page displays to do this.
  • To enter Edit mode on the Home Screen, long-press a blank space until your apps begin to vibrate.
  • At the bottom of your screen, click the icon with the three horizontal dots. All of your Home Screen pages will now be zoomed out for a better view.
  • To hide a Home Screen page, tap the radio button next to it. The page will become grey and lose its checkmark, indicating that it has been hidden.
  • To save your changes, click Done.

Now, as you swipe through the pages on your Home Screen, you’ll see that this specific page is missing. That’s because the App Library contains those apps.

If you decide to change your mind later, simply follow the steps above again to make the checkmark reappear, and you will be taken back to your Home Screen page.
